Controller Denver Colorado
The Lincoln Group is working with several companies in search of a Controller on a full-time basis, located in Denver, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the many top-tier companies that we work with!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and coordinate all financial activities including journal entries and month end close
- Produce monthly financial reports and provide to executive staff
- Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments
- Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
- Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors
- Manage and maintain accounting system accuracy and processes in Intacct system
- Serve as back up for AP and AR processes and transactions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA (preferred)
- Previous experience in accounting management
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and accounting theory
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE, OR BE, THE FOLLOWING:
- Leadership experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Project accounting experience preferred
- ERP system-savvy
- Team player willing to enter and manage a high volume of transactions to meet the company’s needs
