Reports to: Director of Technology and Software Engineering

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of technological initiatives, building new internal and customer facing applications and managing deployed technology; all to continue the pivot from legacy systems and processes to more modern technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (related field) or equivalent work experience
Minimum of five years software development experience in a combination of any of the following languages: C++, Java, C#, Python or Ruby
Minimum of five years experience working with Linux operating system development
In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL)
Deep hands on knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
Experience deploying to AWS infrastructure
Experience with TypeScript, React, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Next.js framework a plus

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop high-quality software designs and architecture
Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting (CI/CD)
Perform validation and verification testing
Ensure software is up to date with latest technologies
