Lincoln Group Industrial Services has partnered with an exceptional client in the Biopharma industry that is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join their team on a direct-hire basis!  The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments.

Type of Hire:  Direct Hire

Reports to: Director of Operations/Plant Manager

Location: Sparta, NJ

Compensation: Hourly Up to $23/hour

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Affixes box labels and shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
• Labels identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Place stock parts on assigned shelving racks, containers, or bins.
• Notifies the appropriate personnel regarding damage and/or shortages.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
• Bind containers with metal tape, using a strapping machine, where necessary.
• Utilizes UPS World Ship computer program for UPS packages and arranges other methods of shipment via approved Common Carriers or customer-selected methods of shipment.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and inspects all necessary documents.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Operates forklift truck, pallet jacks, and hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.  Post-high school education preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience working in high volume manufacturing warehouse environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems, work order, and/or management systems.
• Computer literature.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Detail-oriented.
• Good judgement and decision-making skills.
• UPS World Ship knowledgeable.
• Good math and reading skills.
• Good communication (both oral and written) skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
